No more the drudge and idler, ten that toil where one reposes,

But a sharing of life’s glories, bread and roses, bread and roses.”

Our thanks to all the wonderful volunteers who have made this event possible!

The “Bread and Roses” Benefit Auction was a huge success in thanks to hard work and fun. We would like to thank, on behalf of PJALS Steering Committee, staff, and interns, thank all our sponsors, table captains, big hearted supporters, creative donors, and wonderful willing volunteer crew for making this years auction a huge success. Attendees increased from last year and we met our revenue goals.

Without support from people like you PJALS would not be the organization we are today. The auction shows the amount of love and commitment our members have towards building community to fight for ending the death penalty, economic justice, human rights, Palestine and Israel, police accountability, smart justice, and of course peace. People rely on you to continue fighting for a better tomorrow. The Peace and Justice Action League is nothing without its’ members.

We would also like to thank Aaron Kathman with Outside Media for documenting and taking pictures of our auction. Aaron’s pictures capture the energy and fun with the festivities of the night. The paddle raising was intense and the deserts flowed with the desert dash feeding our sweet desires. Live auction items went fast and we hope our members can enjoy their new vacations to Echo Lake in Montana and Laughing Creek Geodesic Dome along with many others–or a fun evening of a Spokane trolley or a fabulous wine tasting. Everyone deserves peace and enjoyment this summer.

Once again I will say: PJALS would not be here for nearly 40 years without our kind and generous members and supporters. The “Bread and Roses” Benefit Auction is only possible because of donations and commitment from people like you. Thank you!
