PJALS Summer Shutdown: August 9–17, 2025
Each year, the Peace & Justice Action League of Spokane takes a week-long Summer Shutdown to pause, rest, and recharge. This year, our office will be closed from Saturday, August 9 through Sunday, August 17, and we’ll resume regular operations on Monday, August 18.
This annual pause is a deliberate part of how we live our values. In a culture that often rewards overwork and burnout, we choose a different path—one that centers sustainability, balance, and care. Taking time off is not just about individual well-being; it’s about building a resilient, long-haul movement that resists white supremacy culture and uplifts community health.
We hope this time is restorative for our team, and we encourage you to find your own ways to rest and reconnect.
