If you are a young activist wanting to make a difference, the Young Activist Leaders Program (YALP) wants to give you the tools to succeed!
The Young Activist Leaders Program (YALP) is a subprogram of PJALS that supports young people to make a difference on social justice causes they care about and help them connect in the greater Spokane community. YALP is for young people ages 14-22 who are passionate about social justice.
There are two main aspects of YALP: workshops and project support.
-
- Hands-on workshops on the basics of community organizing—tools, skills, and strategy to be an effective leader.
- Project support to move your own social justice idea forward with mentorship, resources, and a community of peers.
Join our paid internship to learn about how activists turn campaigns into policy through voter outreach & actions AND connect with other future organizers.
