Hosted by Peace & Justice Action League of Spokane
Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network (WAISN) & PJALS are teaming up to offer an in person Rapid Response Training.
Rapid Response Teams are made up of local volunteers and community organizations committed to solidarity, teamwork, and justice for immigrant communities. These teams provide non-violent, lawful, on-the-ground support by verifying and documenting ICE or CBP activity and helping ensure people know their constitutional rights.
This in-person training will prepare participants to safely and legally respond to immigration enforcement activity in their community while acting with care, accountability, and respect for shared humanity.
What You’ll Learn
- How to legally and non-violently verify and document Immigration Enforcement Agencies
- How to provide on-the-ground support during enforcement encounters
- How to remind individuals of their constitutional rights
Participants who complete the training will be eligible to join the local Rapid Response Team, part of the WAISN (Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network).
Community care in action. 💛
