Our Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ) committee continues to host our anti-racist education through book discussions and fundraising to support the work and organizations led by Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) in our community.
The committee hosted a fundraiser for Latinos en Spokane on June 16th and raised $1240 to support two local trans students seeking asylum.
Book discussions are on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 5:30 pm via Zoom.
Planning meetings are on the 4th Thursday of each month at 5:30 pm via Zoom.
