breaking stereotypes

Justice-minded volunteers, inspired by the need to counter Islamophobia and anti-Arab racism, worked hard to create an interactive, multi-media exhibit to educate against bigotry. The display debuted on Saturday, Sept 10, to positive and thoughtful comments. If you’d like to bring this exhibit and presentation to your organization, campus, or classroom, please contact us at 838-7870!

Our “Breaking Arab and Muslim Stereotypes” display includes videos on Islamophobia, anti-Arab racism, sources of stereotypes of Arabs and Muslims, and how communities have stood together against stereotypes and bigotry; displays on contributions of Arabs and Muslims throughout history; examples of how anti-Arab racism and Islamophobia have been used to manipulate national debates & policy on war, foreign policy, immigration, and other issues; and a quiz, DIY take home buttons, stickers, and more.
