Join the conversation in this interactive 8-hour training based on the acclaimed documentary which examines the contemporary science challenging common assumptions about our similarities and differences, uncovers the roots of the race concept in North America, and reveals how our social institutions “make” race by disproportionately channeling resources, power, status and wealth to white people. We will draw on the documentary as well as our own experiences and knowledge to identify examples of institutional racism within specific sets of policies, practices & procedures, and begin to explore solutions together.
Lunch will be provided.
