As members of PJALS, we are united by our commitment to oppose violence and oppression. You’re invited to join our Zoom Webinar Ceasefire & Beyond: A Critical Analysis of What’s Happening in Palestine and Israel and Its Impact on Monday December 18th from 6pm-8pm. We will be joined by Sabrene Odeh (she/her) who is the Co-founder of Baladna, an organization created for for Palestinian organizing and advocacy as well as Diana Falchuk (she/her), Organizer, Consultant, and Member of King County Jews Against Antisemitism.
Workshop Description:
Join us for an evening of education and action! In this moment, it is imperative to recognize our shared humanity and tied liberation. We will delve into the complexities of the ongoing violence in Palestine and Israel including:
- Historical and current conditions in Palestine and Israel
- Rise in Islamophobic and anti semitic hate crimes and rhetoric
- The necessary distinctions between people and their governments
- Antisemitism, anti-Muslim racism, and imperialism fueling the United States government’s past and current role and support in the genocide faced by the Palestinian people
Following the presentations, we will take immediate action together. Join us in urging our legislators to advocate for a permanent ceasefire and the development of just and peaceful solutions to address the profound impacts on lives, displacement, and violence in Palestine and Israel.
