We’re delighted to host Lisa Brown as our keynote speaker. Lisa is a longtime advocate & activist for peace & justice, former State Senate Majority Leader, and Chancellor of WSU – Spokane.
In our PJALS community, we are soberly facing the Trump administration’s assault on equity, freedom, justice, peace, and ecology. We know the only way forward is to activate and welcome more and more everyday people to resist and to rise together.
For over 40 years, Peace and Justice Action League of Spokane has engaged everyday people to build a just and nonviolent world through community organizing and advocacy for peace, economic justice, and human rights. This luncheon event will bring like-minded people together, strengthening relationships, and building capacity to move forward and transform systems of violence and oppression!
Head Heart & Hands: Moving Forward Together helps fuel policy-change and leadership development. Our highly regarded Young Activist Leaders Program and other workshops support skilled and passionate social justice leaders of all ages. We lead grassroots organizing for criminal justice reform and police accountability in Spokane. As we soberly face and resist the many challenges of the Trump administration, we mobilize to counter racism, anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim bigotry, out-of-control military spending, and war.
